Eastwood Guitars - Airline Jupiter PRO and Blackstar ID:Core Stereo 20 @ Tom Lee Music in Vancouver

I was in Vancouver, British Columbia on business, and of course had to stop into a music store. Tom Lee Music on Granville St. was closest to where we were staying.

It's a great shop. Lot's of gear for all types on music and musicians.

I was able to try out this Eastwood Airline Jupiter PRO which is capable of more tonal varieties than you'll hear in this clip. The controls are a bit more complex than the standard pickup selector switch, volume/tone controls, and I didn't have the amount of time I wish I'd had to play around with them.

Overall I really liked the sound, and the neck felt comfortable. It's not a Gibson or Fender style neck. It's a bit beefier than those, but it did not feel like a club in my hand.

I've been wanting to get my hands on a Blackstar ID:Core Stereo 40 for a while now. Tom Lee Music did not have that in stock on the day I was there, but they did have the Stereo 20. Nice amp. It was quite responsive, and again, I wish I had a bit more time to play with it. It was very easy to get the tone that you hear. Good blues/rock kind of sound.

This was shot on an iPhone 4s, with the amp behind the camera and facing me. Some of what you are hearing is the sound bouncing off the wall behind me. That boosts the mids a bit, but not much as this was a fairly small room to begin with.
