Washburn Rover Travel Guitar
Greetings, friends and fans from Sudbury, Ontario and beyond.
Recently I purchased this Washburn Rover Travel Guitar for $40. I've had to do a bit of work on it, adjust the truss rod, lower the nut and bridge saddle, but it was well worth it.
I took some flack for comparing its sound to a banjo and ukulele, so pardon my stressing the word "almost." I really try to keep these simple, with minimal editing and so on.
I'd highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for an ultra-small bodied acoustic guitar that they can take on the trails with them, travel around and have some fun with.

Pros: Lightweight, great case, fun to play, interesting sound.
Cons: Had to do a bit of work on it to get the action down, and I'll have to replace the tuners at some point as the low E sticks. But like I say, $40 used. I'd have paid the full price $195, and been willing to do the same work. Tuners will cost $40 to $90 depending on what I want to do. I might want to get a set of gearless tuners like you see on a Firebird, but that just might be too fancy for all the different environments this guitar will be in.
I'll keep you posted.
